If you don’t let Student Finance England know as soon as possible, you might not get paid in time for the start of your course. Don’t forget to update your term-time address if it’s changed as well!
Already applied for student finance?
It’s quick and easy to let Student Finance England know about any changes, by signing in to your online account at www.gov.uk/studentfinance.
Once you’re signed in, all you need to do is choose ‘Change your application’ and update your details. It’ll only take a few minutes. Make sure you have the details of your new course or university to hand.
If you need to update your address, just go to ‘Your profile’ to change it.
Haven't applied for student finance yet?
You need to apply now! It can take up to six weeks to process your application, so you should apply as soon as possible.
It’s important to know that you might not get all of your money in time for the start of your course, but Student Finance England will try to make sure you get at least some money as close to the start of your course as possible. Find out more about why you might be getting less than you expected.
Are you an EU student?
If you’re an EU student who’s applied for student finance, but changed your university or course since you applied, you’ll need to let Student Finance England know by downloading and sending them an EUCO1 form.
